Overview

Day 1.

Arrival in Ivano-Frankivsk.

Transfer to Yavoriv

Yavoriv invites you to enjoy the variety of Hutsul folk crafts. Here, almost every family is engaged in manufacturing products from warm sheep's wool. Ancient traditional ornaments, wooden machines, and family traditions of weaving unique Hutsul bedspreads are shown by the best folk masters. Here you can see the process of production of lizhnics (traditional warm blankets made of sheep wool) from spinning wool to the first pattern.

Here we advise you to try the taste of a mountain trout at a trout farm, where you will catch your lunch yourself, and while you wait for it to be cooked, you will fully enjoy the clean air, the picturesque Yavorivska Niagara waterfall, and special peace.

Dinner. A set menu

Filled with new emotions we continue our trip to the lodge (sadyba).

Evening sauna.

Day 2.

Breakfast.

We continue to learn more about hutsul culture.

We’ll take a look at the Church of the Nativity of the Holy Virgin, built in 1719, located on our way to Verkhovyna - the capital of the Hutsul region, as Ivan Franko said. By the way, fishing and picking mushrooms were his favorite pastimes during his vacations here.

Then we travel to the private Museum of Folk Instruments. Its exposition includes household items, ancient Hutsul clothing, tools, and most importantly, a collection of unique local Hutsul musical instruments. Everyone can try to play the violin, drum, trembita, try on and take a picture in national clothes! Plus, the museum tour looks more like a performance, you won’t even need an interpreter, and music sounds in every language the same.

Hutsul magic museum. The exposition represents local traditions and collection of implements of Hutsul magicians — the molfars and znahars. Here you can see special items used for making magic potions and creating spells to help people. In the museum you can also learn about practices of such famous molfars as Andriy Atamaniuk (called Hoi) and Mykhaylo Nechay.

Well, how to be without a photo break. Let's go to the observation deck with a panoramic view of Verhkovyna.

We can visit local brewery and try the Carpathian beer

Rest of the day we’ll have a jeep tour to the Pysanyi Kamin (a place of power with a great panoramic view of the Carpathians). Here we will arrange a picnic, make a campfire and cook a barbecue. Let's taste it!

Overnight in the lodge (sadyba)

Day 3.

Breakfast.

We are going to Kosmach - one of the biggest villages in Ukraine, a village with 32 suburbs and probably the largest number of folk craftsmen (more than 3,000!). We’ll enjoy the panorama of Kosmach at the observation deck.

Upon arrival, we change transport. We are waiting for a ride on carriages (carts) pulled by horses.

Then a carriage will take us to a picnic with the best spot to enjoy nature

We will also arrange a photo session in Hutsul clothing. The background will be the Carpathians.

We’ll be able to learn how to paint an Easter egg (Pysanka) and take our works as souvenirs.

Master class on making cheese horses (yes-yes, a lesson on molding from cheese).

After such emotional day we’ll come back to Ivano-Frankivsk.

Transfer to the airport / train station or extra night in Ivano-Frankivsk (extra pay).
