Overview

Kolomyia is a beautiful and comfortable town in Western Ukraine. It has many architectural and historical monuments:   museums, town hall, People’s House,    Catholic Church of St. Ignatius Loyola, the largest cathedral in the region.

Pysanka Museum.  The museum building is made in the form of a giant Easter egg (height 13 m).  The collection includes 10,000 works representing the traditions of Easter painting in all regions of the country, the work of masters from Russia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Western Europe, and America. 

Museum of Hutsulshchyna and Pokuttya Folk Art named after Yosaphat Kobrynsky. The collection of the museum has about 50,000 exhibits, which represent all kinds of traditional folk art of Hutsuls and Pokuttyans: carving, forging, pottery, weaving, embroidery. Here you can see traditional clothing of the mountaineers, Hutsul jewelry made from non-ferrous and precious metals, weapons.
